Saturday, April 29th was Independent Bookstore Day! Local bookstores provide a community space for people to gather and share stories, so it seems fitting that there is a whole day to celebrate them! Bound for Books was started with the intent of reaching people and exchanging stories; it’s important to share stories for learning, creating, and to keep them from getting lost. Here are a few ways to celebrate Independent Bookstore Day:
Head into the store: you can celebrate by picking a book off our shelf, or by checking out our subscription boxes. If you need a recommendation, please let us know! We’re always happy to help.
Connect with us: you can join our Facebook group, or you can find us on the Spaces app!
Explore our offerings: take a peek at all the genres we have in stock on our website. How about exploring quizzes to get a recommendation on an author? You can also read our blog to learn more about the bookstore or additional reading material
Consider your bookshelf: are there novels that you don’t read anymore? Bring them in! Be sure to check out our consignment contract before you do.
Pick up a book: this is the easiest way to celebrate! Take a couple minutes to relax and pick up that book you have been wanting to read.

We hope you enjoy celebrating bookstores, and we look forward to seeing you in the bookshop soon!
