Can you believe another year has passed by already? There were probably good books and bad books that you’ve read in 2022. It may seem unimaginable, but bad books do happen sometimes, and that’s okay! Maybe the writing style wasn’t for you, or you didn’t click with the characters.
You probably relied on some old, comforting reads; there’s always that one series worth going back to every year. You also may have gotten some new, exciting reads this past year too!
As we put this past year’s reading behind us, let’s look to what is coming out this year! There are many fresh off the press novels that we're looking forward to at the bookstore:
Someone Else’s Shoes You can never go wrong with a Jojo Moyes book. The characters are lovable (Louisa Clark in Me Before You for example) and the plot is strong… you just might shed a few tears along the way! Moyes is back with another novel where two women switch shoes, which begs the question: who are you when you’re forced to walk in someone else’s shoes?
The Soulmate Get ready for a good thriller mystery! Sally Hepworth is coming out with a new novel that will send shivers down your spine. Currently, The Mother in Law by the author resides in our mystery section if you want to get a head start on what to expect.
Homecoming Have you read The Clockmaker’s Daughter by Kate Morton yet? It’s a story that spans across decades, and Morton is ready to do it again in Homecoming where the main character works to solve a cold case that took place 60 years earlier. In the meantime, you can catch up on Kate Morton books with us!
The Stolen Heir Holly Black rose in popularity after releasing The Cruel Prince, which has soared through the ranks of Young Adult books. She’s back with a new series with the first book set to release on January 3rd. You can find more of her YA books on our shelves!
Chain of Thorns This is the third installment in Cassandra Clare’s Last Hours series. If you’re a fan of the Shadowhunter universe, then keep an eye out for this release date in late January. Find out how Cordelia and James will repair their relationships with those around them (and each other) as they fight for the future of London. Cassandra Clare is also publishing a non-Shadowhunters book this year: Sword Catcher.
Let us know what books you’re looking forward to the most, and we will do our best to ensure that they are on our shelves for you!
